MPH Building Systems have recently completed another bespoke education building.

The bespoke design included exterior cedar cladding and an insulated thermal cladding system to give the building a more traditional appearance.

Architects Specify Timber As A Preferred School Building Cladding System

Architects are increasingly specifying timber as a preferred cladding system due to its durability and sustainability as a building product. This project was an example of this. We followed the lead architect’s design using cedar wood for the school building’s exterior.

The internal layout included a library, ICT Suite, staff room, out-of-school club, office space, toilet provision, covered ground floor play area, and a first-floor open decked balcony overlooking the sports field and views beyond.

Other design features included acoustic ceiling rafts and wall murals in the stairwells to characterise the school’s rural area.

The project was delivered in mid-October 2016 and completed for handover to the school before the Christmas Period.

Project completion photos are below.

“Our school found MPH, throughout the entire process, to be professional, understanding to our needs and responsive. They obviously deal with large institutions and schools and therefore had the foresight to put things into place before any issues arose. Their entire team were polite and friendly. They worked with us to ensure the project was delivered on time but with very little hindrance to the children or day to day working of the school”
