Our expert design team work closely with architects to select energy efficient materials for each project. We strive to minimise heat loss from our modular buildings by engineering for a better U-value (the lower or better this is the more energy efficient the building) by using eco-friendly materials in the roof, walls and floors of our buildings.
Where we can, we encourage many of our clients to choose sustainable systems for their modular building project. Eco-friendly modular buildings can result in significantly reduced running costs when compared to traditional buildings, due to the materials we use when we manufacture our modules. Additionally, green technologies can be incorporated in the build, such as PV panels, energy efficient glass and ASHP space heating. This range of technology will improve energy efficiency longer term.
Compared to traditional building methods, modular construction requires less energy. Our buildings are manufactured off site in a specialist facility. Building in a controlled environment means that external factors are minimised. We’re not disrupted by weather and we don’t need to waste energy heating large areas. The construction process is more energy efficient and considerably quicker!
