HITEK Electronic Materials, a leading manufacturer based in Scunthorpe, found itself growing in more ways than one. With a dual need to expand their team and elevate their professional front-of-house presence, they required a fast, cost-effective, and high-quality solution.

The goal was clear: a portable office building extension that didn’t look like a temporary fix, but rather a permanent, premium addition to their site that could serve as a main reception and a functional hub for their staff.

MPH Building Systems was commissioned to deliver a refurbished modular office building tailored to HITEK’s specific branding and operational requirements.

While many businesses initially look at new builds, HITEK recognised the immense value in refurbished office buildings. By choosing a refurbished unit, they achieved a “good-as-new” finish with significantly reduced lead times and a lower environmental impact, all while staying within a competitive budget.

  • New Dedicated Meeting Room: Created using high-specification glass partitions with integrated blinds and hex-patterned frosting, providing privacy without sacrificing the open-plan feel.
  • Additional Office Space: Seamlessly integrated workstations to support the growing HITEK team.
  • Full Branding Integration: The exterior was finished in HITEK’s signature deep blue, complete with high-impact signage and external LED lighting.

The Process

Seamless Portable Building Installation to Create a New Office Reception

One of the primary advantages of portable office buildings is the speed of installation. As shown in the project installation video, the modular units were delivered to the Scunthorpe site and installed with minimal disruption to HITEK’s daily operations.
